Know & Grow: Propagation for Beginners at Chelsea Physic Garden
Are your seedlings long and spindly? Do your cuttings sit and sulk for ages and then die? Come and learn how to give your seeds and cuttings the best chance of turning into healthy plants. Whether you are a indoor gardener, balcony gardener or have your own outdoor garden, this course will cover all basics and help you to grow plants better from cuttings or seed.
Join a senior member of the Horticulture team for a tour of the propagation areas at Chelsea Physic Garden and a member of the learning team to learn how you can propagate at home.
Propagation is is the process by which new plants grow from a variety of sources: seeds, cuttings, and other plant parts. In this workshop you will learn about this process and have some take-home techniques to help you with your propagation techniques at home.

Tickets are £35 per person
Please note that there are no discounts for Friends and Members of the Garden
When you arrive:
- Please have your ticket ready - printed or on your device - before you arrive.
- Entrance will be via 66 Royal Hospital Road.

Please note:
Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and must remain under close supervision as there is deep water and numerous poisonous plants.
Registered support dogs are welcome in the Garden, no other pets are allowed.
Unfortunately we cannot look after your luggage and we don't have any cloakroom facilities at the Garden.
There are a couple of council bike racks on Royal Hospital Road, unfortunately we do not have racks in the Garden due to lack of space and we can't look after your bicycle for you.
