Snowdrop Kokedama Workshop at Chelsea Physic Garden

Restore a little greenery in your home this January at Chelsea Physic Garden and immerse yourself in the ancient Japanese art of Kokedama making.

Kokedama, which translates to ‘moss ball’ in Japanese, are small plants which are encased in a moss-covered ball of soil. There are many ways to display these gorgeous creations, from suspending them the air or sat on decorative trays, the choice is yours!

In this workshop will be creating your own gorgeous kokedamas using seasonal snowdrops. This workshop is designed for all ages. All materials will be provided.

Children must be 5 and over, hold tickets and be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.

 - Please have your ticket ready - printed or on your device - before you arrive.
 - Please enter via our main entrance on 66 Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea, SW3 4HS.

Please note:

Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and must remain under close supervision as there is deep water and numerous poisonous plants. 

Registered support dogs are welcome in the Garden, no other pets are allowed.

Unfortunately we cannot look after your luggage and we don't have any cloakroom facilities at the Garden. 

There are a couple of council bike racks on Royal Hospital Road, unfortunately we do not have racks in the Garden due to lack of space and we can't look after your bicycle for you.
